One University of Illinois student is raising money for a non-profit organization that helps earthquake victims.
Zander Bush, a sophomore in political science, collaborated with Kung Fu Tea in Champaign on Tuesday.
Any customer that showed a flyer at checkout between 5 and 8PM got a portion of their purchase donated to Direct Relief - a non-profit organization that is actively sending medical aid to Turkey and Syria.
Bush said he hopes that this fundraiser can help Direct Relief provide help to the people of Turkey and Syria.
"I don't really have a personal connection with it but I would like to think that if I was in a similar situation, I'd want other people to do the same thing for me," said Bush.
