Attendance for Illinois Football is Lighter than Expected

The Illini were rolling on Saturday against Central Michigan, but they didn't have quite the fan turnout they may have expected for a homecoming game. Despite student season tickets selling out last week, the student section thinned out quickly on Saturday. 

Wide receiver Pat Bryant, who had two touchdowns in the game, said the team tries not to focus on the crowd.

"The crowd plays a huge role at times, especially for the defense. But we're playing football, so our main focus is on the field.", Bryant said.
